NVIDIA GTC – GPU Technology Conference

Technology & Innovation

25 March 2025

Our partner and Head of Liquid Assets, Pedro Hokama, was in San Jose, California last week to attend the NVIDIA GTC – GPU Technology Conference, hosted by NVIDIA.

Recognized as one of the world’s most relevant conferences in innovation and technology, #GTC25 brought together approximately 25,000 in-person participants from countries such as Brazil, Canada, China, South Korea, and India – and over 300,000 online viewers.

The event stood out not only for its scale, but also for the diversity of sectors represented – including healthcare, energy, financial services, mobility, cloud computing, and robotics – and for the presence of leading global companies such as Boston Dynamics, BMW Group, IBM, Google, Hospital de Amor, Mayo Clinic, Microsoft, Petrobras, ServiceNow, Saab, SOPHiA GENETICS, Torc, Visa, among others.

The sessions offered a valuable combination of practical demonstrations and strategic discussions on the future of artificial intelligence (AI) and its real-world applications.

Key highlights included:
◾ The speed at which NVIDIA is expanding its ecosystem, integrating hardware and software in a unique and efficient way;
◾ Security as a central theme across various industries, especially in corporate environments, robotics, and autonomous driving;
◾ The rise of synthetic data and simulation, identified as key components for scaling AI, with direct implications on demand for computing power and GPUs;
◾ The growing need for companies to structure AI frameworks and invest in robust, structured data foundations to remain competitive;
◾ The expectation that specialized robots (e.g., for oil platforms or deliveries) will become a reality within the next five years, and be widely adopted across society within a decade;
◾ Advances in quantum computing, which are expected to begin with targeted applications (such as new material discovery) and, within 10 to 20 years, integrate into hybrid architectures combining CPUs, GPUs, and QPUs.

At Turim, we believe that closely following technological advances is essential to maintaining an innovative and long-term strategic view. Events like GTC reinforce our commitment to continuous learning, engagement with frontier themes, and the identification of trends that, directly or indirectly, shape the future of global investing.
