‘Campos de Cor’ Book Launch
Art and Culture
It is with great pleasure that Turim celebrates the launch of the book Campos de Cor, a tribute to the life and legacy of the artist Amelia Toledo, with two exclusive events held at the Nara Roesler galleries.
In São Paulo, the launch event featured the special presence of curator Denise Mattar, who has followed Amelia’s work for decades and offers profound reflections on her journey and chromatic explorations in the book. The event took place at the gallery, surrounded by Amelia’s artworks, creating an immersive and enriching atmosphere. In Rio de Janeiro, the event similarly highlighted the beauty and depth of the artist’s creations, presented in an intimate setting that captivated the guests.
Amelia Toledo (1926–2017) was one of the great figures of 20th-century Brazilian art, with a career marked by experimentation and the interplay between art, nature, and science. Inspired by natural landscapes, she incorporated stones, shells, and other elements into her works, exploring the transformative power of matter and uniquely integrating aesthetics, ecology, and form in a poetic manner. Her work testifies to the pursuit of harmony between the natural and the human, addressing contemporary issues that remain highly relevant.
For years, Turim has been dedicated to supporting the publication of books by renowned Brazilian artists, as well as cultural initiatives that foster dialogue between art, heritage, and the preservation of legacies.
We are honored to sponsor, in partnership with Nara Roesler Livros, the publication of Campos de Cor for the public, reaffirming our commitment to supporting and perpetuating culture in Brazil.
